Storm Desmond tore through the UK last weekend with heavy rain and strong winds – the after effects of which saw devastating flooding in the Lake District, Lancashire and southern Scotland.
Cumbria declared a major incident, setting up rest centres in the likes of Keswick, Appleby, and Kendal.
Sadly, the flood risk has continued on this week with more heavy rain seen in the past 24 hours across Cumbria.
These aerial shots, courtesy of BBC, give a glimpse into the havoc witnessed there, specifically in Carlisle:
Here at EcoGrid/RainCatcher we would like to extend an offer exclusively for those who live in the affected locations.
The highly durable and easy to lay EcoGrid E40 permeable paving grid is available to areas affected by this terrible storm at a vastly reduced price of only £9.16 +VAT per square metre. This unrivalled, versatile grid system is suitable for driveways, patios, parking extensions and much more – as featured recently in Gardeners World.
Not only this but we have 30 x 200 litre water butts that we would like to offer residents FREE of charge on a collection basis – no purchase required and subject to availability.
Flooding is of course a rapidly increasing issue across the UK and we’re here to help. Yes, Storm Desmond has left behind destruction, but we’re focused on putting systems together to assist and prevent flooding in the future.
EcoGrid provides a natural, environmentally neutral method of reducing surface water run-off, therefore minimising the need for expensive infiltration and attenuation schemes.
Once again, we’re offering E40 for only £9.16 +VAT per square metre and a free water butt whilst stock lasts to those in affected areas – strictly available to householders in areas marked on the map within this advice notice.
To take advantage, please get in touch on or before 31.1.16 either through RainCatcher or our sister company EcoGrid:
